Green Lake Homes are Selling!
Here we are in December 2010 and rumor has it, one of the slowest times of the year for real estate. Or is it?
Taking a look at the real estate stats for the last 30 days in the Green Lake neighborhood, there has been 24 transactions. 18 solds and 6 pending to close. Not too shabby! Along with these closed or closing homes, there’s 15 active homes on the market right now. Looking at the last two months of inventory in Green Lake, it appears the inventory has reduced just a bit from 29 active homes.
The median price range has held steady in these autumn months - teetering back and forth between $493,500 and $498,000 but from October through today sellers have retained 98% of their list price.
Cooper Jacobs Real Estate currently represents three properties in Green Lake in all three categories - one closed, one pending to close and one active. We’ve seen a demand for quality, newer or newly remodeled homes.

Looking to buy some Tangletown Real Estate? Is it a wise purchase? What kind of neighborhood life is Tangletown? What about the schools?

Geographically, Tangletown is nestled between south Green Lake and north Wallingford. Living here you can still take advantage of Green Lake’s paddle boats and basketball courts while walking to Wallingford for a glass of wine and live music. But Tangletown has its own main drag (North 56th Street) you don’t want to miss! Get an updo at Beehive Salon then walk across the street to grab one of many hotdog selections at Diggity Dog Hot Dog & Sausage stand and wash it down with a brew at the local Elysian Brewing Company ~ just kiddy corner from Might O Donuts.

My daugther went there from 1 year old as a Poohbear and graduated at age 5 as a Tigger. She’s seven now and STILL talks about her teachers from Green Lake Day Care and Preschool.
The Elementary school will be McDonald in 2012 after a complete facelift but for now, it’s Lincoln Elementary. Middle School is going to be Hamilton, and Roosevelt for high school. I recommend going to the Seattle Public Schools Website for more detailed information.

Oh how I do love Green Lake and the appeal it has over me. I’m a runner, so I want to say thank you for giving me flat trails to run until my heart’s content. But no thank you when I get low times in races with hills.

Green Lake Neighbors: Isn’t it funny how each neighborhood in a metropolitan city has zig zag borders and fuzzy lines? Are you one of those who lay in the “middle”?
